(The favourverse hasn't yet been introduced or began, I just wanted a fun little excuse to shove in some Twidash)

The midnight air was hush and cool, just as it always had been since the return of Luna. The moon shone brightly apon Princess Twilight's castle. Shimmering and sparkling. A rainbow maned mare fluttered silently into the castle window closest to her wife's chambers. She let her hooves rest on the floor as she closed her wings.

Rainbow Dash crept down the hall, halting at Twilight's bedroom agar door. She peered into the room, expecting to see the lavender alicorn she loved, but to her surprise, her bed was empty.

~ "Twi, are you in there?"

She was met with silence, and came to the conclusion that her wife was somewhere else. But the question was, where was that somewhere else?

Dash decided that her next stop was the library, since that was where Twilight would be if she wasn't taking care of princess business. She took her time to admire the height of the walls as she ventured deeper down the hall. As she walked down each step, the sound of her hooves echoed

She eventually arrived at her destination, the castle library. She placed a hoof on one of the doors as it opened with a loud creek. Rainbow's eyes rested on a sleeping Twilight Sparkle, cradling a book she must have been reading before dozing off.

~ "Silly mare" she chuckled, carefully removing the book from the evil grasp of the slumbering book monster.

She put the book to the side and blew out the flame that was slowly melting the perfect wax model it was living on. She silently trotted out of the room to retrieve a blanket from the supplies cupboard opposite the kitchen. When she returned, Twilight had her face buried in her hooves and her wings were spread out.

Rainbow pulled the blanket from her back and hung her head by her lover's tail. It was heavy in her mouth, but she had faced bigger challenges than keeping her wife warm.

With a mighty tug, she drew the blanket over sleepy Twilight. For an alicorn, she was quite small, which made it easy to cover her completely.

Dash dropped the last corner onto Twilight's neck, huffing loudly. She took a step back to observe her work proudly, a small lovable smile crawling onto her face.

~ "Sleep tight egghead" she whispered as she softly tapped the pony's shoulder. She bent down to plant a kiss on her forehead before getting back up and leaving the room.
