Based on a brief conversation with a friend. Converted to ponies because that's how life works.

"Arg." Spoke Lynn, bemoaning her sickness. She brightened, continuing that thought to the natural conclusion. "Arginine."

"Uhh, Lysine?" Mercy responded. "I think that's the right amino acid response."

"I always liked lysine. Sounds like a cleaning amino acid."

"Big, stringy, and cleany." Mercy agreed.

Same comment on everything: I didn't like how it was looking but tried to scrape something out of it anyway.

It took me a while to remember that some people might not be familiar with amino acids so I just over explain. Arg is the three letter abbreviation for arginine. It's also a common verbal exclamation. The one letter abbreviation for arginine is R and lysine is L. L goes with R right? (I look it up and an wrong. Never listen to me for science aha. Lysine is totally K, not L. That's leucine. Woopsie) And their both bigger amino acids featuring charged amino groups. Unless I'm also mixing things up. Who knows. My 4am biochemistry is slightly worse than well rested biochemistry so never mind.

Joke was "Arg" is arginine, so Mercy responds with an amino acid that "feels right".
