Being mind controlled is tricky to roleplay… unless it's to believe something minor, almost inconsequential, then in my experience it's totally easy to roleplay. Gamers have zero trouble making their characters believably say, "Ooh, shiny!"

DM: Not really, at least not while they're in your peripheral vision. I guess you'd have to look in a mirror to get the full effect.
Rarity: Well, let's face it, this is Rarity. I will be looking in a mirror at some point.
DM: Okay then… <roll> Huh, a hit. As soon as you see them in a mirror, you think your wings are the most spectacularly beautiful things you've ever seen.
Rarity: In all fairness, I don't think that's much of a change. Glittering gossamer suits Rarity so perfectly on its own. Haha, I might as well be immune!
