I have to wonder if, due to their nature as places of order and knowledge and organization, not just Golden Oaks but all libraries in Equestria were naturally more resistant to Discord's chaotic magic, making them temporary safe havens. I wonder if that was a factor during Celestia and Luna's conflict against him a thousand years prior.
