Decided to take an existing sketch for starting a painting. The deer from Sketch of Apples. Little slow relaxed painting that I made more complex by trying to practice some colour balancing. Outdoor backlight without a background, having that "blueish" tint on the shadow side, except there's no blue.
Oh deer, challenging myself. I guess it's the little steps, just a character painting, but a fun enjoyable one hopefully. Mixing in some deer anatomy, but definitely with pony influences. Probably because well… I've been painting ponies for a decent time now.
