When Adagio Dazzle takes over Sodor and uses her powers to turn all the diesels bad and have them replace all the steam engines, the Rainbooms must journey to the island to rescue Edward and Henry and stop Adagio's plans. Meanwhile, Thomas and his friends (Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, and Emily) compete against the Shadowbolts in a fundraising event called The Crystal Race. Thinks get sticky for both the Steam Team and the Rainbooms, as the girls have to come up with a plan to defeat the siren while dodging evil diesels, and Adagio sends Diesel to the human world as a spy and he joins the Shadowbolts. And that wasn't enough, thanks to Juniper Montage, Thomas is casted to star as himself in his own movie.
