Recently a monthly "art of the month" contest on a German bronyforum set the task to create a mascot for said contest. We were required to design an OC story and also give some describtion of the character. I came up with Multi Purpose and the following describtion:
Multi Purpose is a very curious pony. Every day he is looking forward to what new things he is going to see, experience, learn and do that day even though he is not one to plan many of these things in advance. Instead he takes these things as they come and enjoys being surprised by what he didn't plan.
His motto could be: "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade; if it gives you something else, make something else of it, but whatever life gives you make something of it!"
This pony just enjoys what he is doing and he is always doing something.
In this image life has just given him a thread, a cork, a toothpick, a marble, a spring, a paper clip and a piece of paper and he is getting the smiles about whatever it is that he is up to do with these things.
This pony can't (and doesn't want to) stop trying out new stuff all the time and put something nice together from everyday items.
His overboarding enthusiasm and creativity sometimes cause him to be not exactly focused on one purpose so a half finished project may sometimes end up in a queue between other projects after he got distracted by another new idea, but nevertheless his projects usually end up completed at some point.
Because of his many simultaneous projects and his excursivness he tends to be rather chaotic (more likely than not he just picked up all the items in his hoof) from a worn, color stained and burn holed carpet in his room.
