Just a simple drawing of Rosie, all ready and happy to begin working at her bakery for the day. With her apron and her long, flowing mane in a manageable ponytail, Rose is ready to tackle all the tasks at Sugarcube Carousel! I did it for my facts about her that I was tagged for!

So, here's 8 Facts about Rosetta!

1.) Rosetta Velvet Pie (who typically goes by Rosetta, Rose/Rosie or Ms. Velvet) is the only child of Pinkie Pie and Rarity. She absolutely adores both of her parents equally and shows them as much love and affection as they show her.

She’s a bit more like Rarity in personality, behavior and appearance (she, like her mother, has a love for the art of accessories, different hairstyles and a quick costume change) however her passion for baking and her natural talent is directly from Pinkie Pie.

2.) After receiving her Cutie Mark and graduating High School, Rosetta takes over the family bakery (renamed Sugarcube Carousel for her mothers) while Pinkie Pie returns to the position of full time party-pony. Rarity suggested hiring help so she can still attend college classes so she has a young teenage assistant and apprentice named ‘Panizia Cereza Dulce’ or Pan Dulce (also goes by Ms. Dulce and Didi) Cherry Jubilee/Doughnut Joe’s youngest daughter.

She’s snarky, gossipy and a bit lazy/permanently bored. Bit of a stereotypical teenager she is. She can sometimes be found buried in a magazine or chewing gum or chatting with friends and ignoring the customers. She has a bit of a smart mouth with her boss as well.

At first the two didn’t get along and Rosetta considered the tough decision of firing her… in time though with a bit of patience and after breaking past Dulce’s rough exterior, they formed a strong rapport and Dulce’s quite a talented baker and a hard worker when she puts her heart into things. Dulce actually admires Rosetta quite a lot, even if that doesn’t quite mean she’s always the most well-behaved employee.

Rose trusts her enough to leave things in her hooves when she has to attend school, study or do homework… Though she does still have to come check up on her from time-to-time to make sure she hasn’t gotten distracted…

3.) Her most treasured possession is her stuffed bunny, Flopsy. (named for one of her ears that refuses to stay upright) Flopsy’s her closest companion, a certified bed-and-closet monster chaser, a fellow sugarcube thief and her absolute favorite baking assistant.

4.) She has anxiety and worry over not being as energetic and talented as her parents, she feels like she has to push herself to go to the same lengths they do – she puts her all into anything she does, however this results in a lot of exhaustion and burnout. She can hide it well behind her charming and joyful exterior at first but it ends up building and she’ll come across more and more like a sad clown before finally isolating herself and succumbing to the dreary periods.

Sometimes she can’t leave her room for days — only sleeping and barely eating. Her coat/mane lose a bit of color and vibrancy, not unlike Pinkie Pie when she isn’t happy. She usually can shake herself out of those doldrums pretty quickly but it’s not something she looks forward to.

5.) She loves the rain, absolutely loves it. One of her favorite things to do is sit by the window and sketch pastry designs while rain tap-tap-taps against the window.

She also loves the changing color of Fall leaves, ice skating and dancing, sketching pastry designs, hanging out with her friends and all the sugary sweet treats she can get her hooves on!

6.) She hates being taken advantage of (which happens quite a bit as she’s trusting and kind, so sweet and genuine and that means ponies do take advantage of that quite a lot) her anxiety and her self-doubt.

She also dislikes alfalfa and hydrangeas, days when the air is so hot and thick and she still has to work in front of a stove, a messy kitchen left messy for a long time, dealing with an irate and disrespectful Pan Dulce and not having any time for her own leisure or to be with her friends.

7.) She takes her warm milk & sugar with a splash of coffee, just like nature intended.

8.) Her best friend is her cousin Sweet Sediment (Maud Pie/Fancy Pants/Fleur De Lis) and though she doesn't see them as much she also really enjoys spending time with her other cousins, Smoky Quartz (Limestone Pie/Flitter) and Amber (Marble Pie/Braeburn)

She's also close friends with Sunflower Spell (Twilight Sparkle/Sunset Shimmer/Sunburst) and Daisy Daze (Fluttershy/Treehugger)

Marzipan Muffin (Ditzy Doo/Cheese Sandwich) is her rival, an out-of-town baker who always challenges her when she comes to Ponyville they’re usually amicable and friendly about it though. Usually.
