Spike: "Aw! Whose a cute pony? You are!"

Ember had just arrived in Ponyville to have a meeting with the one called Princess Twilight. Before making her way to the castle, Ember saw Spike in an open field just outside of the town and walked over to greet him. Considering she is still new to the area and Spike being her only 'friend', it would be in her best interest to get locations from him. Or so she tried to convince herself.

Ember: "Spike."

Spike: "Hmm? Ember! What are you doing in Ponyville?"

Ember waited for him to rush over and hug her like he normally did whenever the two met up. Spike had insisted keeping constant contact with her to build their friendship, but never really met up face to face a lot.

((Not that, that bugged her!)) Ember thought to herself. ((It's not like I want to spend more time with him!!)) It was just quicker sending each other letters. ((Not that she cared about writing to him or anything!))

Ember composed herself still waiting for the hug when she noticed something strange on Spike's chest.

Ember: "What is that? Armor?" Ember motioned to the strange thing on his chest.

Spike: "Oh! No, this is for carrying babies."

Ember: "BABIES!?" Ember cleared her throat and tried to hide the embarrassment on her face, closing her eyes not really wanting to look Spike in the eye. "Y-You have a offspring. As Dragon Lord, I congratulate you and the mother."

((He's met someone…..Not like I CARE! GOOD FOR HIM!)) Ember scowled inwardly.

Spike laughed which caught Ember's attention back to him.

Spike:"No, this isn't my child. This is Rarity's and……Fancy Pant's daughter."

Spike spoke sadly still smiling and Ember felt her heart break a bit. He stilled cared for that pony she met when Spike and her competed for the Dragon Staff. Ember wanted to comfort him, but she had no idea what to do. Before she could come up with anything Spike was smiling ((that stupid, charming smile of his!)) again.

Spike: "I'm just watching her since Fancy Pants is in court doing business and Rarity has a deadline for some outfits. So, I offered to watch her for a bit. Would you like to meet her!?" Spike said excitedly

Spike: "She's super cute and sweet and a gem!"

Spike picked up a little bundle placing it in the baby carrier then walked over to Ember.

Spike: "Ember meet Amber Grace!"

Ember looked at the tiny unicorn…….what was she suppose to do? Does she talk to it? Shake it's hoof? What do you do with a baby pony!?

Ember: "Uh…." ………..clears throat "Lady Amber, I, Dragon Lord Ember, greet you." Ember felt silly, blushing a little, but Amber made a tiny giggling sound. ((HMPH! That was't cute at all!))

Spike: "Aw, I think she likes you!"

Ember looked a bit surprised at Spike then looked toward the tiny pony again. How can he know what this fluff-ball is thinking?

Spike: "Want to hold her!?" Spike lifted Amber out of the carrier, happily swishing his tail with excitement.

Ember: "Uhhhhh…….."
