Page 40 took a while to draw, since it contained two images-within-images, including this one.

A trace of the photograph sent to Celestia in the season one intro, with slight changes. As one of a few Spike took as they posed, this is supposed to be the one taken after the one in the show, with Rarity realising that Pinkie Pie's hoof is on her head. I corrected all of the errors in the original that I could spot, such as Twilight's bizarre body shape, missing tails, and missing rear limbs. Other changes, such as Pinkie's teeth, Rainbow Dash grinning, spikier horns and Applejack's more detailed wink were all used to differentiate their faces, and give the original vectors a bit more personality. I wanted it to clearly be the same photograph from the show, without sacrificing too much of my own style (hence keeping the lines black).

If people like this image, I'll put the effort into making a nice wallpaper of it, using panel #40.5's extended view. Let me know if you want this, and whether I should colour their lines like the show, too.
