[[Pinkie solemnly pushes her stool away from the corrupted computer and steps over to her bed. She reaches under it, pulling out a red bindle with white spots.]

“Right where I left it…”, she muses.

[She unfurls the bindle on the top of the bed and inspects the contents.]

“I left in such a rush, I didn’t even think about what I packed. I just threw in whatever was nearby, then forgot about it after I arrived…”

[The sprawled out contents of the bag includes a significant amount of multi-coloured confetti, streamers, balloons, sweets, two framed photographs, a polaroid photograph, a collar, hand-held mirror, a comb and a key.]

“Look at all this junk… Did I think any of this stuff would be useful?”

[Amongst the collection of old objects, she spots a clearly rotten apple.]

“Oh gosh, I wondered what that smell was… And who would put confetti and unwrapped candy in the same bag? It’s all stuck together!”

[Pinkie reaches forward and brushes some items aside to pick up the top framed picture. She brings it closer, recognising the old photograph of herself, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack posing on a hill. Rarity is looking quite displeased at Pinkie Pie’s hoof resting on her head. She looks at photograph behind its cracked glass sadly, remembering the ‘good old days’, thinking back to when Spike took that photo of them.]

“I remember that day… Spike took a bunch of photographs of us as a group for the first time. I chose to keep this one because of Rarity’s face. She got so upset that I put my ‘dirty hoof’ on her head. There were better ones, but this photo made me smile the most. Nopony else wanted it anyway. Everypony looks so happy…”, she trails off.

[She lowers the photograph in her hoof to look at the other framed image on the bed, a photograph of her family, which was also cracked. Maud is calmly sitting on the ground while Pinkie, standing on her hind-legs behind her, is squishing Limestone and Marble’s faces together in a hug. Limestone is looking particularly annoyed, while Marble is worriedly looking at her sister, and their parents–Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz–peer out from behind Pinkie. Snow covers the rock farm behind them, as this was taken last Hearth’s Warming day. Besides the framed photograph, the polaroid of Gummy in a party hat can be seen, with hoof-written text that reads “Gummy’s First Birthday”. Next to the polaroid is a collar, with a tag inscribed with the name “Gummy”. Pinkie Pie sighs at the sight of these memories.]]


(This was a test of captioning these pages. This took a good 40 minutes to do, so I’m not sure I want to do that for every page, unless a blind reader specifically requests it.) (This page also features panels twice as large as normal, as that seemed to retain their colour better, for some reason, and so you can appreciate details better.)
