I really do hate doing this sort of thing. I'm strongly of the mindset that one shouldn't fiddle with published work without dang good reason, as it can create a bit of a continuity rift between anyone that goes back and readers that do not, and frankly this plot's outline is convoluted enough without me pulling the occasional switcheroo.

But, boy howdy, did I need to.

My entire foundation of where I went wrong was revealed by a cursory glance at Siftin's word choice while addressing Ditzy, so the changes are honestly pretty minor, but simultaneously give me some footing to stand on. I'd like to think I'm usually better at catching this sort of thing ahead of time, but this round hindsight was abundantly clear where the present had facefaulted into manure.

… That was a gross mental image. I'm sorry.
