Cinnamon Roll is Rarity's grandfather from her mother's side. He always lived in Ponyville and it was proud of it; he never wanted to leave that place no matter what. Discovering his special talent was easy. When he was young, his mother was baking cinnamon rolls and he asked her if he could help. He ended up getting his cutie mark that afternoon. A few years later, he asked for a job at Sugarcube Corner. At the very same day, he met with a new unicorn filly that moved from Canterlot. He was affraid that she would be a snob, but she was really sweet. Her voice was even sweeter; she sounded like an angel whenever she would sing. They started dating when he said those things about her voice to her and she got her cutie mark. They later got married and had two daughters: Sparkler and Cookie Crumbles.
