I took this photo in a remote wilderness in southern Washington state, 1/2 mile off trail from the Pacific Crest Trail, for Equestria Daily's annual Ponies Around the World event.
The hike itself was around 33 miles total, covered over the course of 6 days; but, the lake is only about 5 miles in from the nearest road. (Access to the lake is extremely difficult, due to the lack of a trail and thick brush.)
