Saewin, the son of a minor noble from the old but fallen realm of Griffonstone, living not quite in exile but away from the land of his birth, where the collapse of the established order is little more than a bad memory to him. As an offshoot of the royal line, as all griffons of high birth are purported to be, he has access to an ancient runic magic, able to sketch runes of power into the air and cast them onto objects and people. He's also a keen fencer, describing himself as 'handy' with a rapier.


Despite his more feminine features, the long lashes and eyespots that are most commonly found on females of the species, he is very much male, though he's an unashamed flirt who will tease both male and female alike, if they take his interest.
