After a nice calm boating trip gone bad and Bubble went home, Mako decided to head to Margarite's bar for a drink. It only took a few seconds before the sassy green mare asked, "Something on your mind?"

Mako: How could you tell?

Margarite: I can read you like a bad romance novel big guy.~

Mako: grumbles Of course.

As Margarite began making his drink, Mako told her what happened and that Bubble told him about her accident. Margarite could recall, saying Bubble mentioned that during a drunken story when Bubble had come to the bar after being snapped at my Lady.. Mako would get upset, saying she could've shared that with him.

Margarite: Oh shut up! gives him his drink If I did you would've just moped even more, thinking she shouldn't be with you in the first place!

Mako went quiet, thinking it over. Then realized she's right. But then he slouched against the bar, giving a sigh.

Mako: Yeah, well… I'm pretty sure today have her a good excuse to back out now.

Margarite: giving him an irritated look as he moped She never seemed to have an issue with you before this. Why would this stop her now?

Mako: looks up at Margarite and shrugs Even after all these years I still don't understand mares… It could be for any number of reasons.

Margarite: Like what? Because you're a sea pony? I hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure she knew that before you guys started dating.

Mako let out a grunt, giving her a pouty face.

Margarite: Cheer up fish-face. Try thinking positive for once. Sure she was scared but that doesn't necessarily mean she's going to break up with you….unless this is a deal breaker for you.

Mako: ears would perk up N-no..! No, of course not.! I just.. sigh … I just don't want to end being something she's afraid of too. Orcas are already pretty scary, being mistaken for sharks anyway.. heheh

Margarite: does baby talk A big cuddle-fish like you?~

Mako: snorts and faceplants on the counter, laughing WHYYYYYYYY? WHY a fish pun? I've been hearing those for years! Hahaha!

Margarite: You’re not moping at least! Heheh, You make it easy, hehehe. Look hun, I'm about as clueless with relationship as you are, but if you want to make this work, you two will have work it out somehow.

Mako: Heheh..Yeah, I know. Thanks.

Margarite: Good… Now stop moping on my counter and have a few more. Makes more drinks

Mako stayed at Margarite's bar til late at night as the sassy a mare almost easily forced him to drink her drinks to pay for the advice. Telling more fish and ocean puns and laughing. Although at some point, they became a bit cringy, making Mako want to leave..

Margarite: OH come, don't be such a grumpy guppy!

Mako: on the seventh drink Uuuugh… Tits getting to cringe worthy levels.. Thanks for the help… and the drinks. But I’m gonna head out before you take what’s left of my cash, heheh. Waves as he leaves

Margarite: grins You are right Mako… We should Dolphinitely Scale back on the Fish puns.If you can think of a better fish pun, let minnow~

Mako: Oh my GOD!!!

Margarite: Don't you mean, Oh my COD? hahaha get it?

Mako: gives her the finger as he walks away

Feeling a bit salty, and actually a little hungry, Mako walked along the beach before discarding his shirt and going for a swim. The cold water felt nice and easy on his mind, clearing away the tension from earlier. He soon caught sight of a fish and started chasing after it, his stomach growling. Getting close to the rocks during the chase, he quickened his pace, his fin poking out of the surface. This fish was determined not to become his dinner! Suddenly he heard screaming above the water when he gets closer to the rocks and gets whacked on his back by a piece of wood from a fallen tree and he comes above with his arms up and waving about.

Mako: NOT A SHARK! NOT A SHARK, I'M AN ORCA! desperate dolphin squeak SEE?! FRIENDLY DOLPHIN-WHALE- WHATEVER I AM!!!

Bubble: MA-MA-MAKO!?

Mako: ..Bubble..?! "

Bubble stood before Mako on a rock in pajamas, holding a stick and panting, staring at Mako with wide tired looking eyes.

Mako: wipes his hair from his face Wh-what you doing out here? It's nearly midnight.

Bubble: * lets out a looong sigh before tossing the stick back into the water* I could be asking you the same thing. Smirks

Mako: tired chuckle Looking for a late snack. I had a few drinks at Maggie's bar, then got hungry.. I didn't feel like going out to eat, she already took most of my money..

Bubble: chuckles at that hehehe, Did I make you lose your snack? I'm sorry. I was spacing out and saw your fin in the corner of my eye… I wasn't really thinking. she rubbed the back of her head

Mako: shakes his head Ah, don't worry about it. I'm not really the best hunter at night anyway, heheh.. He looked at Bubble, smiling a bit But, Uhm.. Why are YOU out here?… In what I'm guessing it's pajamas.

Bubble: * looks down at herself and blushes*.. I couldn't sleep. The… um… the sound of the ocean is relaxing..

Mako: * turns his head a bit to look at the ocean from the corner of his eye* Yeah, it is.. but you shouldn't be out here at night. For, obvious reasons… Turning and jabbing his thumb at his fin, chuckling I'm not the only thing out here looking for food.

Bubble: chuckles at that I'll be fine, no worries. I'm close enough to the shore still that I can make it back if something happens. I've been doing this ever since I was a kid. As she stuck her tongue out at him

Mako: Really..?… Thinks for a moment..Bad dreams, huh..?

Bubble: tenses up a little and blushes mm.. yeah… She looks back down at the water and slowly stuck her hooves back into it .. I have dreams of drowning.. so I come back out to the ocean… I guess that's kind of silly, isn't it? heheh..

Mako: smiles softly Not really.. better here than the middle of the woods, right?

He came over to sit on the rock, ringing out his hair.

Bubble: shrugs as she kicked the water gently with her hooves I guess… I just.. don't want to be afraid. If I don't keep trying, then I fear it will only get worse.

Mako: looks up at Bubble, concern on his face Well.. Coming out here is kind of a good step forward. smiles a bit .. Although, you should still try to get some sleep. Today was rough..

Bubble: chuckles and gives a little yawn B-but i'm not tired, hehehe.

Mako: Mmmhmmm. Sure you're not.

Bubble: sits up straight and turn her nose up at him I'm not! Besides, this is nice. I enjoy spending time with you~

Mako: starts wagging behind them a bit. He blushed a bit and smiled more I enjoy it too.~ he lifted his muzzle so he was taller, as they locked into a small staring contest for dominance But, there's always tomorrow. I bet if you stayed out here any longer, you'll sleep through tomorrow, Heheheh.

Bubble: blushes at that, keeping eye contact. Her ear gave a twitch and she turned her face away, giving a sigh Alright.. I guess you are right. * she pulled her hooves out of the water, standing herself up on the rock giving a good stretch*

Mako: chuckles as he stood up, shaking his paws to get the remainder of the water off Would you like me to walk you home?

Bubble: wiggles her butt a little before jumping from one rock to the next closest to the shore. she almost slipped and fell but she caught herself, steadying herself. Mako let out a slightly startled squeak at that oops! hehehe, Sure! if you want too!

Mako chuckled before following her. They eventually made it to the shore. After Mako backtracked to get his shirt, the two walked for Bubble’s house.

Well this went smoothly! Aside from the possibly sizable bump on Mako's head, hahaha! The story isn't over yet! So much fun pitching dialogue with AskBubbleLee ! Be sure to keep a look out for the next part of the story!
