At first, the idea of Luna with a background that has a silhouette of her head struck my mind. Therefore, I tried adding trees in a forested environment at first to mimic her head with the branches. But it didn't turn out well, so I tried using a different approach, a cave. To my surprise, it looks much better and more beautiful I suppose! I'm so glad this wonderful piece is finally done! I think the crystals add a really nice touch to the overall feel of the artwork. Furthermore, the night environment also feels very cool, as it's located high up in the Frozen North. The cave is also a very quiet place, hence giving a sense of peace and tranquil.

Now, Luna is standing there reminiscing about her past and how she could help to improve the lives of the ponies under her charge.
