As I stated, Dove and Jade used to date but the latter cut it off since it began to get toxic. Both Dove and Jade have a history of being abused at a very young age and went through a lot together. While Little Lady has been Jade's friend the longest, Dove was the first pony [not including momma Rarity] that Jade opened up to. He came to school with bruises one day and Jade tried to console him since understood that pain. They bonded quickly.
Also Hoity Toity!! Just cuz I write him as a neglectful and oblivious father doesn't mean I don't love his sassy lil face!! Dove loved his dad but hates how little he sees him. As a way to bond with his father he became a model but has always been combative and resentful of the industry in a whole. He was born angry….but also really cute!
