Requesting a study of semi-realistic pony anatomy, something like what you imagine the characters would really look like, if they appeared in front of you.
The faces, in particular, and the underlying skull, for creatures obviously a little horsey but which have short muzzles sort of like a cat's, and which have eyes larger than a "real" horse or pony's, but not toony/animoo character enormous eyes that are so large there's no room for the brain inside the skull (and no, cartoon ponies do not have brains in their butts, stop that). I am thinking in terms of a semi-realistic equine face that is capable of showing all the same emotions and expressions as a human's—maybe even more expressive, because the way they hold their ears is part of their body language.
