Doing a series of pics, showing my favorite headcannon ships, a bit about the couple, their time together and what they've been up to the last few years.

Needless to say, Rainbow was the first to realize her feelings for one of her best friends was expanding beyond just friendship. When she finally got up the courage to approach AJ about it, the earth pony was a bit hesitant, but was willing to give dating a try, so long as Dash understood that keeping the farm in top running order was a first priority. Their relationship was really a subtle change from before, since the two had been so close to begin with. Over time, AJ began to return Dashie's affections equally and the two grew even closer. After three years of dating, they decided to tie the knot and built a nice little house on the farm (farther away from the main house for obvious reasons coughcough).

Surprisingly enough it was Dashie who began getting interested in the idea of raising a foal, though she was very uneasy about pregnancy and carrying the baby, since it would affect her duties as a Wonder Bolt. Convincing AJ to carry the foal wasn't the hard part though. She was actually quite willing. The hard part was finding a suitable Stallion to father a child that both mares approved of. In the end, Soarin, a good friend of Dashie's, was the only choice they could agree on and were comfortable with. The stallion agreed to being the sperm donor and nine months later, little Apple Blossom was born. Applejack, having raised Apple Bloom from a young age, took to motherhood like a pro, whereas Dashie had a few things to learn, but over time became a good mom in her own ways too. Eventually the two wanted to have another foal and Dashie offered to carry this time (partly to be fair and partly because she really wanted a pegasus kid to be able to relate to more). With Soarin's help yet again, Static came into the picture.

The little family has been living happily on the Apple farm since then and the four are quite content with their share. Blossom has joined ranks with the other mane six's kids as the next Cutie Mark Crusaders and Static's wings are finally big enough for him to start gliding and learning the basics of flying from Dashie.
