(A few months pass by, and Big Mac and Cheerilee became distant, hardly talking to one another. Without Gala around, they came to a sudden realization that they, in fact, had nothing in common. They didn't even notice it at first, but the longer they stayed alone together the more evident it was to them; they knew nothing about one another. They had been married all these years, and only once Gala was gone did they realize they didn't know each other as normal married couples come to know one another inside and out. They became strangers sleeping in the same bed. Without that link holding them together, Big Mac and Cheerilee slowly began falling apart.

Until finally, about a year after Gala's passing, they came to a mutual decision.)

Diamond Tiara: Big Macintosh.. Cheerilee.. Are you sure about this?

(Big Mac and Cheerilee exchange a look and they both sigh but nod)

Cheerilee: Yes.. We are sure. This has been a long time coming…

Diamond Tiara: I just… After so much has happened, I never imagined I'd be signing these papers with you.

Big Mac: Sometimes… It's for the best.

Diamond Tiara: Doesn't respond, but slides the paper towards them Alright… Just sign your names on these lines, and it's done.

(Cheerilee and Big Mac look at each other one more time, then sign their names on the paper)

Diamond Tiara: Well then, I guess that's it. It may still take a few days for the divorce papers to finalize, but.. From here on out, you two are no longer a married couple.

Cheerilee: Thank you, Mayor Tiara… We appreciate your understanding… looking down

Big Mac: Eeyup… not looking at her

Diamond Tiara: Well, it's not that I approve.. But it's not my place to interfere.. You two sincerely wanted this, I am in no position to object to that. I just hope you two find peace.

(Cheerilee and Big Mac nod their goodbyes and leave City Hall)

Cheerilee: I.. I guess you'll be moving back to Sweet Apple Acres then?

Big Mac: Eeyup..

Cheerilee: Would you like some help packing?

Big Mac: Nope.

Cheerilee: A-alright then.

(Big Mac turns to head to their old home to start packing)

Cheerilee: Big Mac?

Big Mac: turns to her

Cheerilee: …. I hope you can find happiness again. For Gala's sake.

Big Mac: … You too, Cheerilee. keeps walking
