Once you find a way to stop the ghosts from haunting you, you are able to traverse down to the catacombs, where an angry, vengeful mother resides. Once you cross this path, there's no going back. Any side quests that you are in the middle of doing fail immediately. You will also have no access to Vinyl in any way, shape, or form if you come back to the house.
