Quicks is a stallion born into a poor family just outside Vanhoover. He grew up with little food and shelter. He had extremely competitive siblings and had to fight for anything he wanted. He and his siblings would compete for ownership of items they found including toys, clothing and food. Quicks grew to dominate the competitions involving throwing objects to hit a target. Despite the competitions for items he typically gave away anything he didn't need.

Quicks is a reliable pony who will stay loyal to those he calls friends and family. He will stick by them without fail, assisting them however he can. If he knows a friend is hesitant about something that is good for them, he will give them a helpful push in the right direction. Often literally, this has mixed results.

Quicks is a competitive pony. He loves to challenge himself and others to go farther and harder than they ever have before. Often this helps himself and others grow and learn, but he can push too far sometimes and have a hard time holding back his enthusiasm. This makes him come across as a try-hard who only cares about winning. However he will give advice and feedback to opponents after the competitions end.

Quicks is ver bold. No challenge is insurmountable to him, and can be overcome with enough effort. This leads to him jumping into things without a plan and preferring to wing it rather than spend time coming up with a strategy.

Quicks is an average flier in terms of speed. He is incredibly talented in steadying himself with his wings to the point of negating the bounce that comes with flapping wings.

Quicks is an excellent shot with anything ranged. Whether it be a bow, cannon, rock, or slingshot. Quicks can aim with anything and hit nearly any target he sets his sights on.
