One aspect of Diamond's character that people usually manage to portray regardless of their interpretation of Diamond is her intensity. When Diamond gets worked up, her emotions are on full display, and she conceals nothing. It's also a consistent character trait in the fandom that Diamond gets incredibly worked up when you threaten her loved ones; although the list of who Diamond considers to be a "loved one" varies greatly, and often times I only end up seeing one name on it.Getting worked up pushes someone into operating on instinct rather than reason. There is a goal set in front of them, and they will move toward it at the expense of all else. Though it is irrational, it can often be effective at single-mindedly accomplishing a specific task. Spending too much time in this state can be unhealthy, though. I think the stress is really eating away at Diamond's psyche. Maybe she should get a cat.
