Dang! I thought I'd posted this ages ago! Whoops! Anyways, this is a Patreon reward I did for of his OC Blue Streak. He wanted me to design some armor for the character. Since the character is very much about speed and mobility I didn't want to burden the character down with heavy plate armor. Instead I drew much of inspiration from Late Middle Ages and Early Renaissance armor worn by light cavalry and medium infantry.

Blue Streak's chest and upper front legs are protected by chain mail and padding. Over the mail he's wearing a leather or heavy fabric vest. On his lower legs he's wearing tall leather boots and trough-style plate armor. His head is protected by an sallet-style helmet with a crest matching his mane. He's wears a fabric head and neck covering with some padding in the head area for the helmet. The back of his neck is covered with hexagonal metal sewn on to leather.
