Twilight: [grumble] Temp, did you tuck in the boys?
Tempest: Yes, princess. More importantly, you should rest, your highness. You need it.
Twilight: [yawns] We're alone, Tempest. You don't… have to be so formal.
Tempest: Alright. Then rest your eyes, my little one. You're exhausted.
Twilight: [struggles to keep eyes open] Will you be here when I wake up?
Tempest: [smiles] Of course, my little one. I'll always be by your side.

Sleep? Who need that when there are ponies to draw, damn it!
As I said, I ship Twi and Tempest. After the events of the movie, Twilight chose to hire Tempest as her captain of the guard, since Tempest was too militaristic to do much else. She lives at the castle and trains the friendship guard to protect both the castle and Ponyville.
After Celestia's death, Tempest would often find Twilight alone in dark rooms staring into the void. After dragging her out, she would sit beside her, watching over her as she either silently cried to herself or slept the hours away. After a while, a pattern started in which Twilight would sleep (literally) with Tempest because it made her bad days less bad. She never really gets past her grief but Tempest helps in ways that she had thought impossible.
