The meek and gentle student of Princess Luna, Flutterheart has never felt very confident in herself, so she has turned to books instead to pour her time and effort into — whether they're magic theory or fantasy novels, Flutterheart reads and loves them. Princess Luna discovered her when she was quite young, and saw the potential in her just waiting to be unlocked, and so took her under her wing; though she is still quite shy, as a result of the princess's influence, she is a little less timid than her canon counterpart — think season 7 Fluttershy versus season 1 Fluttershy.
