Personality/Background:
Stormbolt is a very outgoing, flashy stallion. He loves to show off, speeding around Cloudsdale and Ponyville daily. He has an affinity for weather-making and studies meteorology.

When Stormy was younger, he was training to join the Wonderbolts. As he became older, he took more of an interest to the weather. In fact, after taking a school field trip to the Weather Factory, he realized how fascinating it was to him. Stormbolt joined the Wonderbolts anyways, pushing his love for the weather aside to make his mother proud. However, he realized that his true destiny was to become a professional weather pony. He quit the Wonderbolts and is working for the Weather Factory now. He couldn’t be happier.


Relationships:
Stormbolt has an amazing relationship with his mother, Rainbow Dash. They both love flying and speed. As a little colt, Rainbow would always assist him with training. She was disappointed when he quit the Wonderbolts, but she will always support him, no matter what.

He has an okay relationship with his father, Zephyr Breeze. His dad tends to be a little too “artsy” for his taste. Whenever Zephyr tries styling his hair, Stormy flies off so fast. His dad still loves him though, and he still loves his dad.

Stormy has a love/hate relationship with his sister, Crosswind. She’s so quiet and sensitive, so he’s afraid that he’ll hurt her feelings all the time. She always seems annoyed with him, so he tries to avoid her. Stormbolt is secretly jealous that Crosswind and their father get along so well.

Stormbolt quite likes his older half-sister, Granite Rock. Despite not being "real" siblings, he loves her as if they were. He would workout with her as a young colt, and they loved to play army as kids. Whenever Granite Rock visits Cloudsdale, Stormy and her always go out on an evening flight and talk about their lives.

He also has an intense rivalry with Solar Flare, Lightning Dust and Dumbbell’s child. They were on the Wonderbolts together for a time. During that period, Solar Flare challenged Stormbolt and teased him relentlessly. Once he quit the Wonderbolts to pursue his dream of becoming storm chaser and weather pony, Solar Flare would seek him out in her spare time. Needless to say, Stormbolt isn’t a huge fan of that mare.


Special:
-Stormbolt dated Orange Blossom for a short time, and they are still good friends today
