Granted the first day of the new year has passed in most time zones I'm aware of, but I wanted to make something to celebrate the occasion. Also, don't ask how I came up with the party hat on her belly, it just kind of happened. I guess it would be difficult to wear it on the top of your head while laying on your back, wouldn't it?

I used the opportunity to experiment with thin lines, and the only way I can describe the result is by quoting one of my wise friends — who I probably should have listened to — who said: "that works best with […] shading". In hindsight, I couldn't agree more BUT this was a simple one-off image I didn't want to put too much time and effort into, in part because I wanted to be late by the shortest amount of time possible and because I don't think the idea itself is particularly great, I just wanted to get it out of my system :D

Many thanks to Conrie, Discorded, Pirill and Tvio for their feedback, even if I didn't manage to incorporate some of the suggestions due to wanting to finish this tonight (yes, I still consider 7 in the morning tonight until I go to sleep, thank you very much)
