Lucky Amethyst is the only child of Rarity and Pokey Pierce. She was born prematurely, during a vacation that Rarity and Pokey Pierce had taken after a successful fashion season. Their vacation was of course cut short, as once she was born and safe to leave the hospital, they went straight home to Ponyville. When she got older, and eventually discovered her talent, it was always Lucy's dream to move to Las Pegasus and become a psychic, and when she turned 16, her parents finally allowed her to move, under the condition that she comes back to Ponyville to visit once every two months, a condition that she happily agreed to.
