An idea I had in the brains for a while, but now it's fully doodled. Enjoy! •W•

Saffron Masala couldn't help but remember the good times she had when she was a filly after her father Coriander reminded her of her silly actions. She chuckled softly at the mentioning of hiding ingredients she didn't like and she could see how she used to do so back then. Saffron was so small and cute, her mane nearly over-sizing her with its fluffiness and poofiness. Luckily, the little unicorn knew this could be used to her advantage the moment she tasted some spices and was disgusted by them. With her new magic, she grabbed the ingredients she had a disfavor for and stuffed them into her big and soft mane, to be trapped by her curly locks forever. Coriander was prepping some meals for him and his daughter, running around trying to find some specific spices to his dishes. He pondered until he spotted something stick out from Saffron's mane, seeing many spice holders that he thought were missing for a while. He asked his daughter to return said spices, but the tiny chef pretended to be unaware of their existence, trying to look cute and innocent so her father could let her be. The big chef was stern, lifting the unicorn up with her magic and lightly snatching the countless ingredients with his magic. Saffron was placed on the ground, pouting as she knew Coriander would use those nasty ingredients later on. Her father asked for her not to hide stuff that was in the kitchen as they are important for their restaurant. She kept on stuffing whatever she disliked in her mane, however, but as she grew older, she started to have an appreciation for those spices. She eventually stopped hiding them and began to use them often when she started to cook on her own or when helping her father. Back to present day, the chefs were in the kitchen making up a well beloved dish. Coriander noticed one spice absent, but Saffron playfully lifts the pot to reveal the "missing" ingredient. The two ponies shared a heartfelt laugh, thinking back to those fond memories of days prior.

So yeah, when Coriander talked of Saffron hiding ingredients she didn't like, I immediately thought of how she would do it, since it wasn't mentioned how specifically. True, it could be implied by the scene after that Saffron simply hid them behind kitchen tools and pots, but still. So I thought of her as a filly who just got her cutie mark, hiding them in her mane because of how floofy and big it is. She would act innocent and cute, trying her best not to be spotted, even though it was obvious where the spices were hidden. I think there are other Saffy pics out there based on her hiding stuff, but I figured I'd try out a doodle.
