- Pureblood is the only son of Duke Blueblood and Trixie Lulamoon. For most of his childhood, he was raised by his father. And in turn, seemed to be becoming just as arrogant and pompous as his father was. However, as he got older, he quickly learned his father is not the best influence, and began spending more time with his mother; over time not wanting anything to do with Blueblood at all.

- His outlook on life changed when he met Clarity. Although Clarity was not interested in him (as when they met, he was still acting like an egomaniac like his dad) Pureblood fell in love with her at first sight. She was perfect to him in every way. For years he wooed her and tried to prove that he was worth being with, but Clarity never showed interest in him as more than an aquiantance. This didn't upset Pureblood, just made him respect her even more. However, when Confetti Popper cast that spell on Clarity to make her accept a date with Pureblood for once, it backfired, and Clarity became enamored with Pureblood instead. This caused it to get a bit out of hand, drink a bit too much and ended up going too far. This resulted in the the pregnancy and birth of their daughter; Celestine.

- Despite Clarity still not wanting to be in a relationship with Pureblood after the birth of their daughter, Pureblood was perfectly happy having this foal in their lives to still tie them together somehow. They got closer after Celeste was born, but never romantically close. He was just happy he was able to be with his daughter everyday, and it helped his realize the meaning of his cutie mark: a frog prince. At first, he was a fool, a frog; But with help and love of his baby girl, he was able to become a prince and a good father. Clarity noticed his transformation, and thinks of Pureblood as a genuinely good pony now.

- Pureblood pretty much cut Blueblood out of his life after Celestine was born, and he tried everything he could to keep her away from her grandfather. He didn't want his selfish nature near his influential baby. Blueblood didn't seem to care he had a grandchild anyways, so it made not visiting him all the more easier. When it came to Gramma Trixie, however; She would visit Celestine very often. Not as often as Gamgam Rarity, but as often as she could. Pureblood knew his mother was miserable being trapped in a loveless marriage, so he made it his duty to try and make his mother happy whenever he could, and seeing Celestine made her very happy.

- Pureblood does not live with Clarity and Celestine, but he bought his own home in Ponyville not too far away from their home. Celestine stays with him every other night or so, depending on Clarity's tasks and whether she could watch her or not that night.
