When I saw this, I decided that I have to use it since I really enjoyed the movie and I didn't really share my opinion to it yet. Even though it was basically too cliché for me, I'd NEVER think that it can be THAT enjoyable cliché, to the point I'd call it a MASTERPIECE. It's so brilliantly made that there's no way for me to NOT love it. I already rewatched it numerous times and I still want to. But let's start with this meme now.
1. FAVORITE SCENE: I know, I know what you think, this scene is probably everyone's least favorite. But to me, THIS scene is the first thing that made me interested to the actual storyline of the movie and broke the cliché thing to me. Because I bet no one called it. This was probably the most unexpected, shocking and heartbreaking scene in MLP ever. And while it seemed that Twilight was out of character, she had actually a very good and deep point and motivation, even though it doesn't excuse her actions. The best thing was that I could understand and sympathize with all the sides, each had a good point. Mistakes and plot twists like these just make the story more deep, original and emotional to me. Strange, but yes, this (and everything since the attempt to steal the pearl) were definitely a scenes that hit me so hard that made me love this movie in the first place. But there were too many scenes I enjoyed a lot.
2. LEAST FAVORITE SCENE: Seriously, NONE. The more I watch it, the less bad/ boring moments I find (right now, I can't find any). xD
3. FAVORITE NEW CHARACTER: Tempest Shadow. I think I already made it clear before, but yes, Tempest.. I mean, Fizzlepop Berrytwist is another of my most favorite MLP characters in general. It's my love to reformed characters in the first place, but she had a really sad backstory (I've read the book "The Stormy Road to Canterlot" about her backstory, so I understand everything about her motivation). She is also one of the most intimidating and believable villains in MLP history and also very dark one. And the way she reformed, it definitely warmed up my heart…. I wish to see more of her…
Honorable mentions: Princess Skystar, Queen Novo, Capper, Grubber.
4. LEAST FAVORITE NEW CHARACTER: I guess it'd be Verko. Most of the new characters didn't come as likeable to me (when it comes to background characters), but this one is just really unlikeable -with both, his dessign AND character.
5. FAVORITE SONG: Open up your eyes. Without a doubt the most powerful song in MLP to me -not just a villain song. Gosh, I just love the chorus. And the lyrics are so deep and true too. And sadly very relatable in real life… Tempest truly is the most realistic and relatable MLP villain. No matter how much I listen to this song, I always have goosebumps and want to cry. But THAT'S actually a case of ALL the songs in this movie.
Honorable mentions: We've got this together, One small thing (I said I love all the songs, but these two are just very close second)
6: LEAST FAVORITE SONG: NONE. Because all the songs and music were so POWERFUL (since the very beginning) here and are definitely the biggest reason I enjoyed this movie so much.
7. FUNNIEST MOMENT: The movie didn't really have a lot of funny moments to me, it was surprisingly more dark and serious than funny (fun was mostly childish). But the scenes with Storm King were simply the funniest. Especially this one, I really laughed hard at it. But I still consider those just as silly and childish jokes, though still pretty funny to me. Storm King is just the funnier version of Tirek.
8. AWESOMEST MOMENT: There were many awesome moments, so I can hardly pick one, but to me, this one is definitely among them. It has some really catchy visuals and moments (it's definitely my favorite scene as whole from the three -with Capper, with the Pirats and Sea ponies). The fact that the whole scene and song was so deep (one small thing can really make a huge difference and we have only so little time) and the fact that Queen Novo was about to agree to help and then.. It was seriously so deep….
9. SADDEST MOMENT: This movie has EXTREMELY a lot of sad moments to me- even the ones that aren't supposed to be sad, but happy, actually make me sad and think deep about them.
Ok, for the first one, check the Favorite scene again.
As for the second one, this one was definitely a bit surprising too, it was utterly heartbreaking (moments of sacrifice are always my favorite in general, but when those sacrificing ones are the villains, it's even deeper)…
10. SWEETEST MOMENT: Without a doubt, this is definitely the sweetest and most heartwarming moment in the movie.
