Personality:
Jackson is oddly dramatic for a guy, still a friendly pony to be around, but still nonetheless very dramatic (he gets this from momma Rarity). Aside from being a bit of a drama queen or king technically, Jackson is pretty laid back the majority of the time. Both male and female customers often gossip with each other about how friendly and charming he is, and not to mention, handsome as well.
Background:
Rarity and Coco Pommel first met during Prim Hemline’s fashion line contest, after Suri Polomare had stolen Rarity’s original designs. Although they stayed in touch, Rarity and Coco were never really close until Coco decided to move to Ponyville for a change of scenery, seeing that it was that town that she had grown up in and she had some family there. Upon getting back into touch a little more with Rarity, Coco decided she wanted to stay in Ponyville for a little while longer than she had planned. Over time the two would often go out for coffee and discuss new designs they each had been working on, slowly becoming more and more close as time went on.
After a few months of living in Ponyville, Coco realized Manehattan didn't have much left for her after she had finished an internship as an assistant (not under Suri Polomare, instead she actually worked for Photo Finish for a while, helping with models and effects and such), so she decided to move to Ponyville permanently. This permanent move allowed Coco and Rarity to grow even closer, when Rarity allowed Coco to stay with her until she found an actual apartment instead of the motels and family she had been staying with.
Coco was the one to develop actual feelings first, but Rarity wasn't far behind, seeing that both mares had been single for so long. When the feelings initially started both mares were rather shy, but over time small kisses here and there became easier to give, and eventually the mares were finally comfortable enough to express their affection in public. Two or three years down the line, the mares got married, and they made sure to make it especially special by making each other’s wedding dresses. Because the mares knew each other so well, the dresses were suited perfectly to their tastes and both of them had their dream dresses to complete their perfect day.
Another few years down the line, Coco and Rarity both agreed that they wanted a child, so after some research they decided the best way to go was with a sperm donation. Coco Pommel carried the child, the donation was anonymous so neither of the mares knew who the father of their child was, but nonetheless they still loved him as their own.
Jackson earned his cutie mark when he was rather young, he had an eye for detail and loved giving his mommies makeovers for fun. One day after giving Rarity a fun hairstyle and a simple makeover, Jackson earned his cutie mark. Despite the excitement, Jackson was a little nervous seeing that his cutie mark had three things: a pair of scissors, a comb, and a makeup palette. Jackson wasn’t quite sure what he was supposed to do, was he supposed to be a hair stylist or a makeup artist? After some kind guiding words from his honorary uncle Zephyr Breeze (who had become a big time hair stylist), Jackson started out just focusing on hair styling, but eventually began to dabble in costume makeup after a few years.
Jackson began to work under Zephyr Breeze when he was 17, and now co-owns a small business in Ponyville, which was an extension of Zephyr’s original business in Canterlot. Currently Jackson owns the little shop on his own, and even has a few employees in training.
Relationships:
Jackson is close with both of his mothers, but secretly favors Coco Pommel. Coco and Jackson have the maternal-child bond that you just can’t break and love each other dearly, often taking time to go on mommy-baby dates for coffee or to certain events and activities.
Jackson and Rarity have an interesting relationship, despite them loving each other, Jackson has always felt like he couldn't impress Rarity as easily as he could impress Coco Pommel. Despite being a little harder to impress, Rarity is still very supportive and loves her son very much.
Storm Chaser has been a close friend of Jackson’s for a while now, the two met through Storm’s dad Zephyr Breeze when Jackson started working for Zephyr in his salon. The pair started writing letters to one another when Jackson left Canterlot to go back home to Ponyville from his training with Zephyr to be a stylist. In their letters, the pair became very close, and eventually developed crushes on one another, but neither has any knowledge of the other one’s crush, so friends the shall remain.
Sky Diver is another close friend of Jackson’s, they met in middle school when Sky Diver was being bullied for her weight (she was a little chubster when she was a kid and got bullied a lot, hence why she becomes a body positivity therapist in the future), the pair got along well and spent many of their middle school years collecting rocks together, and building forts, and so on.
Other:
- Jackson has probably tried drag at some point in his life, seeing how much he loves the makeup and wigs and costumes that all go into the activity, not to mention how fun it would be to strut around on a stage like nopony’s business.
- Jackson is scared to death of spiders, or eight legged creepy crawly death dealers as him and Rarity call them.
