Rarity never forgot Thunderlane, the colt who saved her once and she soon fell for him which Thunder already has feelings towards the fancy mare. They have a very sweet relationship and enjoy each other's company alot, they had Opal who they named after Rarity's old feline who unfortunately passed. Thunderlane was quite rowdy with his daughter and they'd play fight in the mud and Thunder would fly her up to great heights which made Opal envious of pegasi though Rarity didn't encourage this and felt that she had to stay on the ground and safe so her parents would butt heads a lot.

When growing up she found comfort in helping others and encouraging them, as well as she was good in sports but couldn't often play them especially flying since she didn't have wings so she decided to become a coach and teach/help others to compete at their best. She'd even teach a few new wonder bolts and became a coach despite her not being a Pegasus and showed her mother that she was capable of doing anything.
