“ Hey girl, are your wings tired, cause' you look like you flew all the way from heaven. What? Was that too cheesy for you? Sorry, I'm just tryin' to wing it here."
Name: Champion
Nickname: Champ (goes by this most of the time), Champs, Champy, Flyboy, Show off, Jock, Bird son, knucklehead, Birdbrain
Age: 18-20 (shown here)
Parents: Soarin and Rainbow Dash
Sibling(s): None
Build: Gut the guns, super fwuffy, tall, slender, and sorta buff
Residence: Ponyville/Cloudsdale
Special talent: athleticism, memorizing memes by heart.
Occupation: shrugs
Type: ESTP (Extroverted)
Voice: Literally, he sounds just like Jeremy Shada. If you don't know who that is, just imagine/search up Lance from Voltron Legendary Defender. He's basically the embodiment of Champ.

Champion here is Rainbow Dash’s one and only cocky, competitive, and charismatic son; the very spitting image of herself in her younger days. Like her, he’s pretty obsessed with convincing others that he's ‘cool’ with his slick up-do, some perfect pearly whites, and a swag personality to top it all off. Champ even tries to play the 'tough-not-fazed-by-anything-I can-handle-whatever" kinda guy and wouldn’t turn down a Double Diamond Dog dare if his life depended on it, which in most cases, it does. But with Champs short-sighted, impulsive behavior, it’s no surprise that he routinely gets into ̶l̶i̶f̶e̶-̶t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶t̶e̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶d̶a̶n̶g̶e̶r̶ trouble-making mischief every other Tuesday. Fortunately, he has his charming wit and smooth talking ways to slip him out of any sticky situation. It also works wonders with the ladies if you know what I mean ̶w̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶w̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶n̶u̶d̶g̶e̶ ̶n̶u̶d̶g̶e ̶. Despite being the somewhat unsuccessful flirt that he is, Champ isn't like a jerky jock that only hits on girls for the hookup, but is in reality, a pretty dorky guy when it comes to wooing females. His usual tactics are the standard but classic flexing biceps, cocky eyebrow raises, and finger guns coupled with some compliment or cheesy pickup line. Most of the time mares will usually just ignore and sometimes giggle at him, if you happen to actually reciprocate it or, Celestia forbid, flirt back at him, his cocky, confident pose melts in an instant and he becomes a flustered, stuttering mess ̶w̶h̶i̶c̶h̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶f̶u̶n̶n̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶a̶d̶o̶r̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶a̶t̶c̶h̶.

Ponies often think of him as a scatter-brain, full of short-sighted goals and always looking to the horizon for the next adventure, but Champ would argue that he's just hasn't found what he wants to do in life yet. This in no way means that Champ is a lazy bum ̶a̶l̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶n ̶a̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶ ̶p̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶j̶o̶b̶ ̶m̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶h̶e̶l̶p̶, it's rather the opposite, actually. He can be a pretty chill guy, but when it comes down to it, Champ is quite the go-getter and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, whatever those are. Similarly, as go-with-the-flow as Champ can be, he's not afraid to speak his mind and even take charge at times, which causes him to often butt heads with the real ponies in charge. What most ponies don't know is all that arrogant and egotistical talk is just for show. You know, to hide all his insecurities about being unable to fly and not joining the wonderbolts like his mom wanted him to and constantly fearing that just being athletic won't be enough to make her proud. You know, typical guy stuff. But Champ's not the kinda stallion who lets his doubts and fears get in the way of his friendships, and most ponies eagerly raise him up as an encouraging and loyal-to-the-core friend.

Although Champ doesn't quite know what to do with his life as of now, he still keeps pretty busily when he's not doing odd jobs for the mane six or failing as a weather pony. He's a stallion of many hobbies, but he enjoys sports the most and has probably tried every single one since he started school, with his favorites being hoofball, buckball, track and roller skating. He sounds pretty athletic, right? Would you be surprised if I told you he also enjoys frequent spa visits and has a very specific health and beauty routine every night complete with cucumbers and soothing classical music? Even more surprising is that he doesn't feel the need to hide it to keep up the 'cool' illusion ( do ya think these flawless eyebrows and chiseled cheekbones is just an illusion? How else am I supposed to look stunningly suave if I don't care about my beauty sleep? Gotta keep it smooth and fresh for the ladies finger guns). When he's not at the gym or the spa, you can count on Champ to be doing….just about anything. From pool parties lates at night or barreling down the side of a gorge. It doesn't really matter to him, just so long as he's hanging out with friends.

Relationships:
Rainbow Dash:
Rainbow Dash wasn't around for the greater part of Champ's childhood, being a wonderbolt and all, but that never drove a wedge between the two. Rather, Champ shares a special, adrenalizing and competitive bond with his mom, who taught him everything she knew since he was a foal. Aside from having the same reckless, fun-loving personalities, Champ also enjoys a lot of the same things as Rainbow, like speed racing, visiting amusement parks, lying around, and geeking out over the newest book in the Daring Do series. However, when your mother is a famous wonderbolt and is historically known for being the only one known to make a Sonic Rainboom, it's only natural that any kid of hers would feel pressured to live up to a legacy like that. For Champ, that pressure is made a thousand times greater with his flying disability that practically inhibit him from forever fulfilling that dream. However, instead of begrudging her son, Rainbow tries to be as supportive as possible and doesn't let her own disappointment drag him down. Instead, she's very encouraging in whatever he chooses to do and she repeatedly assures him that she could really care less about him filling her horseshoes, just so long as he is happy.
Soarin:
Even though Soarin is a Wonderbolt, he doesn't really have that whole ' feeling pressured to fulfill your legacy' with Champ. As a result, their relationship is much more relaxed because of it, and because Soarin is more laid back than Rainbow Dash is, Champ is much more likely to talk to his dad about anything that might be bothering him. Soarin appreciates this and really enjoys their serious and down-to-earth, father-to-son chats. Growing up, Soarin spent a lot of time and with his kid and while Rainbow was the precipitous parent, Soarin was more of the protective parent ( sometimes even protecting their son from Rainbow's crazy antics ̶y̶e̶s̶ ̶S̶o̶a̶r̶i̶n̶,̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶t̶w̶o̶ ̶m̶o̶n̶t̶h̶ ̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶r̶o̶l̶l̶e̶r̶ ̶c̶o̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶). There was many an evening that Soarin helped bandage his son's soccer practice scrapes and even though Soarin wasn't a sport fan himself, he would take the time to practice with Champ. As he got older, Champ got into playing video games with his ole' Dad and Rainbow can't helping laughing at the two pressing the buttons like their lives depended on it with their tongues sticking out. Trust me, things get twice as intense when Rainbow plays against Champ.
