- Haze is the daughter to Garble and Dragon Lord (Lady) Ember; Half sister to Vulkan. (GarbleXFizzle)

- According to Dragon Law, (in my headcanon) in order for Ember to remain Dragon Lord, she was required to have a mate, marry and bare a child as the possible future heir. As custom, each potential suitor is put to the test in a rigorous challenge of strength and skill; and the winner "wins the heart" of the Dragon Lord. The winner of the challenge was a dragon by the name of "Garble".. The last dragon Ember wanted as a husband, but she stayed true to her ancestral roots and following Dragon Law, married Garble and eventually hatched an egg, and her daughter; Haze. Although married, Ember and Garble prefer to be on their own and only come together during councils and events. Garble even ended up somehow falling for another dragon by the name of Fizzle; A long time childhood friend of Garbles'. And eventually led to the hatching of their son, Vulkan. Ember showed no illwill towards Vulkan, since she knew it would be nice for Haze to have a sibling — however, she wanted nothing to do with Garble after that. She ordered a divorce and made sure he was revoked of any possible chance on him taking the throne if anything ever happened to her, naming Haze as the current heir to the throne under possible circumstances resulting in Ember's demise. (No, Ember is not dead, that just means IF she were to die or if something happened to her suddenly, her daughter would immediately be crowned Dragon Lord without the Trial by Fire.)

- Haze is actually a lot like Garble, but also a lot like her mother. She is brave, and can be very arrogant; however, when push comes to shove, Haze will do anything to protect the ones she cares about and even push her own ego aside to help others.

- After Ember sent Vulkan to stay and study in Twilight's School of Friendship in Ponyville like their cousin Smolder once did, Haze secretly envy'd her little brother. Although she loves being around other dragons, and the competition, she wanted to know more about the world outside of the Dragonlands. Although she had asked Ember plenty of times to go, Ember always denied her daughter entrance to the school, saying she was needed in the Dragonlands. So instead of adventuring around Equestria, Haze spends her day hunting and guarding the territories. This usually involves scaring critters and other smaller dragons off. Although she does have interest in being the future Dragon Lord, she also has a greater interest in adventure. And sometimes, Lava diving and boulder throwing just isnt enough for her.
