Many times Flash told himself that love was not his thing, that maybe he was not meant to be loved, that maybe it was best to be alone, that maybe … nopony would ever accept him for what he was and is.
Flash never expected fall madly in love with the young princess, and Twilight never expected her feelings to be reciprocal, things just happened none of them planned this.

But he was afraid that she would discover his secret and hate him, the secrets can not always be kept hidden. When Twi knew it, she did not feel disgusted or look at him like a freak, just just got a little upset because he did not trust her to tell the true. She just looked at him with the same tender eyes full of love that always made Flash want to get lost in them.

"You are mine and I am yours, let's work together for this, not everything will always be easy, we will face difficulties, we will fight against many and sometimes against us, but nothing will change my feelings for you. And it does not matter your past, what matters in your present, our present. You are Flash Sentry, the stallion that I love and that I want to be with me forever. Nothing is going to change that".

Flash never felt more loved in all his life.

One of my many favorite headcanon is that Flash is Transexual, and due to his condition and family problems, the pegasus had a very complicated childhood and adolescence, full of ups but more downs. And this it's just one of my headcanons you do not have to agree with me, but any offensive and rude comments will be eliminated
