Captain Sail is Captain of the crimson pirates and spends his time trying to find out everything he can about a fabled pirate known as Captain Iron hoof. Since this pirate is rumored to be a ghost, Captain Sail has inherited the nick name Ghost Hunter amongst the pirates at Pirate’s Cove. Very little is known about his past but he is a skilled sailor who is known to be both merciful and heartless at the same time. All that is known about this captain is that he is highly wanted in Equestria since his ship (the Bloody Tide) was originally a stolen frigate from the Equestrian royal navy. This is why he claims is the main reason why he never wishes to return to Equestria, although its rumored that there are other reasons why he stays away from the kingdom.

Mr. Pinpoint hailed from Equestria where he was the Sea Artist for Captain Nathanial Sail (Captain Sail’s Father) When his employment was ended for unknown reasons, he was reemployed by Captain Crimson Sail, and also took the Quartermasters position as well as navigator. Although he is loyal to Captain Sail, he sometimes disapproves of Captain Sails actions and on occasion lectures him on the legacy his father had. Pinpoint as old as he is has had more experience then any aboard the Bloody Tide, so much in fact that he has learned to read humidity in the air to predict storms hours before they actually happen. As unknown as Captain Sail’s past is, it is rumored that Pinpoint is the only pony amongst the crew that actually knows the history of the old sea dog.

Powder Keg was born in the griffin kingdoms where he was raised by a weapons manufacturer for the griffin king. At a young age, he discovered historical document about a unique series of weaponry that was internationally banned by the Griffin king hundreds of years prior. Finding the flaw that caused the disaster leading to their banishment, Powder Keg invented a series of cannons that revolutionized modern weaponry, as well as invented new types that could be carried by hoof called Muskets. After inventing these illegal weapons, Powder keg went on to sell them to underground organizations and pirates until he was discovered and forced to flee the griffin kingdoms. Although he still sells his illegal weaponry, he placed that responsibility on his many venders while he himself took employment under Crimson Sail as the ships Master Gunner and Sniper. Now he sails the seas but isn’t too shy to test and invent even more weaponry that if known to the rest of the world would increase his bounty which already stands at 45’000 bits.

Not much is known about this particular mare, however it is rumored that she was a prisoner who was actually face to face with Captain Iron Hoof himself. According to her, she was her father’s Quartermaster until they were attacked ant taken prisoner by Iron hoof. However Iron hoof killed her father and now, she is bent on getting revenge no matter what it means. According to all who meet her, she is drop dead gorgeous, and that term actually means something in her case, since she is well known for tempting sailors to their own doom. She uses every trick in the book to be a good pirate and her slight of hoof, is only outshined by her beautiful looks and most of all her singing voice which by most is referred to as the song of the Siren. Who this mare actually is and what her plan, is unknown. But one thing is known, she can’t be trusted. However now that Captain Sail has sought her out to help him find Iron Hoof, He may have no choice.
