Ah, childhood.

Pinetree thought it’d be a great idea to introduce Kiara to the wonderful, delicious treat that is the marshmallow. As expected, she absolutely loved it. What Pinetree didn’t expect, was Kiara turning into a mindless beast bent on consuming all the marshmallows herself and lashing out any who tried to take away her preciousssssssss.

In the early days of Kiara’s arrival she would bug Pinetree relentlessly, following him around as she boasted about herself and her relationship with Zecora while simultaneously slipping in insults. Pinetree despised the runt at this point, but despite his nerves being torn to shreds he did his best to ignore her.

Sometimes when Zecora is bathing, Kiara likes to sneak away her jewelry and practice her impression of her mentor. It would be rather convincing if Kiara didn’t make Zeocra sound like she inhaled a gallon of helium.

This is the two’s first run in with Poison joke. Pinetree is a rather speedy guy, both physically and mentally, so he was rather ticked when he found he couldn’t move faster than a snail and sounded like sloth. As for Kiara, well, I think you can figure that one out.

One day while they were exploring, Kiara and Pinetree stumbled upon a manticore cub washed up on the river bank all muddy and bruised. They took the cub home and with Zecora’s help, they nursed him back to health and fondly named him Verras, which in Kiara’s tribe means ‘surprise’. However, as much as they wanted too. they just couldn’t keep Verras. He belonged in the wild, and after a month or two they eventually set the cub free.

They still occasionally run into Verras, now a strapping young adult manticore, and spend sometime playing together for old times sake.

Despite being friends, these two butt heads a lot and usually over little things. It makes Zecora miss the days when it was just her and her hut. No fighting, no random explosions, and no little ones to raid her pantry during her meditation sessions. Those were the good days.

Once Kiara was able to wrap her head around what ‘levitation’ is, she got the bright idea that Pinetree should levitate her. It would be just like flying! Pinetree doesn’t mind doing it now and then, but sometimes you gotta draw the line.

Some adventures don’t always turn out the way you want them too. Some days, you end up getting banged up and bruised. Maybe next time you’ll think twice before walking into a crakcoldile infested swamp.

To be fair, it’s was a really sharp cut.

Oh how the tables have turned. I think Pinetree’s bit off more than he can chew. Literally.





I plan to do more with them in the future, but for now this is hopefully enough to satisfy ya’ll’s insatiable desire for these two young and immature dorks.
