(Background)
Years after his second imprisonment, 100 disciples loyal to Tirek ritually sacrificed themselves to free their master. Knowing that a direct invasion would fail like last time, Tirek asserts his dominion over tartarus, signing a non-aggression treaty with Celestia. Knowing that the ruse wouldn't hold up forever, Tirek spent the next year putting his pieces in position. When he execuited his plan, Celestia, Luna Twilight, Cadence, and any who would pose a considerable threat to him, were killed. Before they were slain, Celestia and Luna scattered the Elements of Harmony around the world so Tirek would be denied his chance at godhood.
For the next 1000 years, Tirek would hold the world under his thrall. All unicorns with the exception of some exiles and Tirek's inner circle are left without the ability to use magic and technology spikes as a result. Still, ponies and other creatures refuse to go down quietly.
Bio:
Hope Spark (aka: X-0451) was based off Imperial designs as part of ‘Project Thanatos’, an effort to build a better warbot with two goals: to mimic the appearance of living ponies to facilitate better infiltrations and to have a more advanced but limited AI to make more complex tactical decisions while being hard coded with loyalty to the empire.
Before actual construction and testing could commence, a band of thieves under the employ of the Harmony Restoration Front, a rebel group, stole the schematics for the prototype and erased the backups. The efforts of the thieves ensured that a weapon of such magnitude would never be used for Tirek's aims.
After more than a decade, resistance scientists started their own developments, running parallel with their own ventures into artificial sentience. Using the physical components with their own spin as a base, they implemented an AI designed to have complete autonomy, to mimic the emotional and intellectual capacities of a living pony.
However, a captured resistance spy divulged the existence of the project. As a consequence, Tirek's forces launched a raid on the facility where Hope Spark was being built and the android had to be put in stasis to protect him and finalize his creation. No pony at the facility survived the assault.
In the two weeks that followed, Hope Spark awoke from his slumber to ruin and violence. Left with no knowledge of the world that came before, he ventured out into the sands of the southern region where an incident sparked a desire in him: to right a wrong.
Personality:
Having been active for a month and with little knowledge of the world around him and none of what came before, he’s been described as bookish and curious. Along with that, he cares deeply about his comrades and the innocents and wrathful towards any who brings them harm. Though, it's not to say he's without a sense of humor.
Weaponry:
Z-45 “Hydra” Multi Weapon System: An adaptive weapon that can hold up to four modules that allow the user to transform the device between any of the four modules loaded via a nanobot core built into the grip.
The Business End: A charged plasma sword that has a retractable frame composed of the same material as him. Said frame can generate the plasma blade and retract when concealment is required.
Specifications:
Due to him being a product of design, Hope Spark is based off a schematic with a few deviations.
Horn: Due to being based off the unicorn subspecies of pony, he has a horn. But unlike living ponies, his horn isn't magical in nature but rather manipulates the kinetic and gravitational forces around him. His horn can use kinetic energy to release thunderous blasts of concussive energy and project barriers and gravity to mimic telekinesis.
Metal Frame: Combined with a durainium endoskeleton, he received an additional weave of mythril, adding an extra layer of durability while making as little cutbacks to mobility as possible. However, his metal endoskeleton can do little against any sort of energy field that’ll slow his functionality to a crawl.
Due to the advanced servo-motors built into the skeleton, Hope Spark can hit hard and fast in hand to hand combat along with above average accuracy with firearms.
Skin: Advancements in Equestrian medical science has resulted in the development of artificial skin/fur for the sake of treating injuries related to it. Such tech was adapted into the Thanatos Project for the empire’s purpose. The synthetic skin is designed to be easily healed but would need extensive repair in areas impacted by high energy blasts such as highly-concentrated plasma.
CPU Core: Owing to the requirement of an advanced AI, a state-of-the-art processor was required to facilitate the requirements needed for an advanced program. When HRF scientists wanted a wholly independent android, they removed the limiter off the CPU schematics, effectively granting Hope Spark’s CPU 5 PHz of processing power.
Power Supply: The prototype was developed to be powered by Elysian Tears, a mineral originating from the Crystal Empire that while unstable, can perpetually generate energy on its own.
As such, regulatory locks had to be put in place to prevent a cataclysmic overload. The power output can be increased to 400% above normal to overclock desired functions. While power can theoretically be increased past 400%, it'll result in structural deterioration and eventual meltdown.
