I figured I wanted to make the Lilaverse separate from the Canon show, therefore I am Designing Some ponies for my headcanon.

This is Queen Celestia c:

And let me explain her headcanon:


Celestia, unlike her sister, is the Queen of Equestria. Celestia, back when she was coronated, was the boss of everything. She reigned as a neutral ruler, secretly terrified of ruining everything. As years passed with nothing but love coming from her subjects, she got optimistic and-quite frankly-cocky. Not long after Luna was old enough to be coronated as a princess, Celestia started to prioritize her work as a world leader above her sister, casting Luna into a shadow. She was never told from Luna herself about what was happening, but she could feel something was severing every time she said “Not now, sweetie. Tia’s busy~” (unfortunately this phrase was said quite a few times a day). Celestia didn’t even notice her little sister undergoing visual and physical changes until it was too late. The night when Luna had enough. Her sister swore up and down that the moon was never meant to live in the shadows of the sun, that everyone should be praising the moon instead of fearing it, and that’s when Celestia saw her newly formed sister; Nightmare Moon. They fought for several hours, Nightmare Moon being nearly as strong as Celestia. However for her last move, she wielded the elements of harmony, banishing her sister for an unknown amount of time. When the smoke cleared and the dust settled, Celestia cried. She belted out her painful shrieks, cursing at the elements of harmony, thinking she would never see her sister again. She barricaded herself in her room, answering the door only for food and to sign contracts and laws. She hated being alone, but she did it to herself when she exiled her own sister. Since Luna’s return, Celestia apologizes every chance she gets, spending an hour at most away from her sister at a time. She taught Luna how politics work, and was genuinely surprised at how Luna was so interested and excited about such dull and boring subjects, seeing as the Queen herself was often bored to sleep during those meetings. With this knowledge, Luna became the diplomatic and political side to her rule, and she reduced herself to the public matters, such as planning royal summits and the grand galloping galas to organizing charities and fundraisers. The two are now stronger than ever, but Celestia will never forget what she did.


I'll add more when I see fit. It's all a work in progress still.


Some extra things to know

~The royal sisters are Kirin, not Alicorns

~The Kirin species is not a rare one, however Alicorns who have ruled for at least 100 years turn into Kirin

~The number of branching paths in Kirin horns show a state of power, and wings on a Kirin show royalty and also represent a Kirin who ascended from alicornship
