Backstory: Growing up on a small family-owned farm just outside the suburbs of Filly Delphia, Mulberry was HEAVILY “encouraged” to learn how to bake and cook from her mother, Southern Smorgasbord- much to her mother’s enthusiasm- after little Sweet Tart got her cutie mark. Bitter about it at first, and compliant to her mother’s excitement only to hide the true meaning behind her cutie mark, Mulberry eventually grew to enjoy baking and cooking when she discovered how she could use it to her advantage.

Much to her mother’s delight, Mulberry eventually moved out into Ponyville to take over her grandmother’s bakery, The Sweet Retreat, shortly after her grandmother had passed away. When she arrived, the bakery was worn and old, desperately in need for renovation, so she called in her parents to help redesign the entire interior- and most of the exterior until it was transformed into what it is today.

Later, Mulberry would meet the ever-so charming yet bashful stallion, Huckleberry Bleu, who would become her only employee and boyfriend.
