The Crimson Moon is a rare astrological event where a second moon materializes over Gaia from the darkness of the Void. The power of this moon bathes the world below in dark power, amplifying the power of those who tap into the forbidden magics.

During the last Crimson Moon, Equestria was almost overrun by the Blood Cults of Phlebos, only driven back by the the efforts and sacrifices of the Witch Hunters, the Druids, and a middle-aged Royal Guardscolt by the name of Nemo.

While all Vampires are necromancers, Skirov isn't particularly knowledgeable in the magic of death, preferring to be just capable enough to sniff out other necromancers. She can only briefly raise a single zombie or skeleton. But during a Crimson Moon, she finds herself capable of raise legions of undead, hordes of undying warriors subservient to her will.
