[Lego Batjokes AU (Set right after The Lego Batman Movie)] On the night after they had both saved Gotham together, it didn’t take long for Batman and the Joker to realize that they didn’t just hate each other; it was their true feelings for each other. But both of them were too nervous to confess to the other, so they tried their best to keep it a secret whenever they met or fought. Of course, this eventually leads to lots of shy, adorkable flirting with each other every time Batman went to go stop Joker’s crimes. It went on like that for a week or two, but Joker soon decided to himself that this game between him and the Dark Knight had gone on for way too long. Harley was supportive of him after he told her about his crush on Bruce, and then tells him that it was pretty obvious to her anyway. The next time Batman and Joker meet on top of one of Gotham’s skyscrapers, they know that the truth can’t be kept any longer. After the two have a long, serious talk, they have now blossomed together into an adorable, cheeky couple. But they knew that their love couldn’t be seen nor heard, so they had to keep it a secret from everyone. Joker surprisingly turns out to be quite a great, caring boyfriend, because he helps Batman in bringing out his playful, tender side. After about a month of secretly dating, Robin accidentally caught the two kissing one afternoon, and was utterly excited over it much to Batman and Joker’s surprise. After talking it over, Joker agrees with Robin to become his second dad, who happily goes off to tell Alfred and Barbara the good news. Now that he finally had what he wanted, Joker decided to permanently postpone his life of crime to spend more time with the Bat, and the citizens of Gotham were confused but happy for them now that they knew their secret. Now the clown and knight are both happily married together and have a lovely son, who Robin thinks is the best brother ever. Joker still acts like his mischievous, joke-making self every now and then, but Bruce knows that he couldn’t of asked for a better boyfriend.

——————————————————- Here’s my AU and headcanon for how Batman and Joker get together after the events of the Lego Batman Movie, since I ship these two goofs so hard thanks to how the movie portrayed their relationship.
