Near the end of the show, yet I found myself creating new OCs still, and not just any regular OCs, but Hippogriffs. Here we have both hippogriff and seapony versions of my new OC's, Blue Cove on the top and Stellaris on the bottom.
Blue Cove is a young Hippogriff who enjoys his time more in the sea than on the surface, though he does go to Mt. Aris to make deliveries inbetween the two cities. He's about the same age as Silverstream, but a little older. Having lived his life underwater, he has little trust of the surface world, much like Queen Novo did. However, his mother, who would spend time with Ocean Flow and their friends, shared stories about Silverstream and her experiences at the School of Friendship and it got him a little curious, but he was still a little cautious. It took the efforts of a young Earth Pony mare named Sea Foam to help him trust the ponies of Equestria. As someone who lives in the sea, he strongly defends life in the ocean and has a stronge knowledge about it. Originally going to be a different color, I decided to stay with a blue palette.
Much like Terramar is a combination of the names Terra and Maris, latin for Earth and Sea, Stellaris is a combination of the latin words Stella (for Star) and Maris (for Sea), and yes, I know there's a game out there with the same name. Stellaris was also born and raised in the sea for her life till the defeat of the Storm King. Though since she doesn't have the magic pear necklace, she could only rely on her brother to try to go to Mt. Aris, but since he was too busy and that her mother didn't have a pearl, she rarely got a chance to become a hippogriff. Despite that, she would often find time to go to the surface of the ocean and by the beach to meet up with other fledgelings. She's a very kind hearted and friendly hippogriff, and would also befriend a pony around her age, Hope Mustang. Trying to get the design spot on was difficult due to the low resolution pictures i used, but I think they turned out good. Her color palette is based off colors of one of my favorite Disney Princess, Ariel. The Feathers/Skin is based of her hair. Her fins/feathers are based off her shell bra, and she has about the same shade of eyes as Ariel does (if not more turquoise than blue). I've also noticed young seaponies have a white shaded belly that leads up to their muzzles.
