Alicorns in Buck: Legacy are rare, born by chance to an Earth Pony, Unicorn or Pegasus.
When they are fully grown, they will assume a more powerful form than Earth, Unicorn or Pegasus combined.
But until they are ready, they are considered an 'acolyte', learning to harness their incredible powers through vigorous training.
When they overcome a great challenge, their true powers awaken, and their new form is called an 'apostle'.
