Some ponies like to run and jump and play like it’s no business. This pony runs that business.
You probably find it really odd that a pony with a name and Cutie Mark like Lemon Drop is in charge of a training stable. Well… Lemon Drop’s family have a bit of a different business from her, and very much expected her to join it when she grew up. Unfortunately Lemon Drop didn’t quite want to do so.
Equestria can sometimes be a pretty unhappy place. The ensuing arguments resulted in a situation where Lemon Drop ran away, leaving her home far behind her. She kept going for miles and miles, as far as her legs would take her.
Partway through the journey, a thunderstorm began. The path became covered in mud and lightning struck down trees alongside it. Without thinking, Lemon Drop leapt over the trees and cleared all of them perfectly, despite the conditions.
As it turned, another pony — an older stallion — had been watching her the whole time, and stopped her once she had gotten to proper shelter. He was trying to sell his show stable, but hadn’t been able to find anybody he thought was suited for it, until he’d watched Lemon Drop clear such impressive jumps. With the praise, Lemon Drop realised just how much talent she had in agility. That was when her Cutie Mark finally appeared — a representation of the rain that hadn’t been able to even slip her up, not once.
Lemon Drop found a new home in the show stable, and has been training other ponies and holding competitions ever since.
