Yes, he's holding the gun with his forelegs. That is completely preposterous. But he IS firing it with his mouth, so it's not all bad, right?
I hope it's clear enough that his back is braced against the wall. It would be stupid to have him standing on his hindlegs without some means of support.
Whatever. It's style.
