Tartar Sauce… also known to the Internet as "Grumpy Cat" has died at the age of 7. The beloved feline died of complications of a urinary tract infection on Tuesday, which I only found out yesterday. Her death not only saddened her owner, Tabatha Bundeson, but millions of fans around the world. She was the cutest thing and she had that iconic permanent frown on her face that made her look, well grumpy. But inside she wasn't so grumpy, but happy. She didn't live as long as her owners wanted to or her fans, but she lived long enough to see the fame and glory. She appeared as the face of a 1000 memes, won the 2013 Meme of the Year at the Webby Awards, appeared on talk shows, award shows, had her own movie Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever on the Lifetime Network, and had hundreds of selfies with famous people including Conan O'Brien, Ryan Seacrest, Anderson Cooper, Hulk Hogan, Stan Lee and even Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street. And while I have seen lots of videos of her, I thought she was only cute and didn't really stay long as a fan because I felt her intense popularity would have been short in the long run, but in the end, especially after she passed away, I felt deep sadness from all the tributes pouring in. May the memes be with you, Grumpy Cat, you may lived a short life, but you'll live in the hearts and minds of millions. It's sad to see an animal celebrity die when she was still young. But she'll still have merchandise and fans and will be the one and only permanently grumpy-faced cat the world will ever know. #grumpycat
